I am a creative video editor and storyteller with more than 20 years of advertising and documentary experience. I hold an MA in Media Studies from the New School in NYC and a BFA in Film & Screenwriting from School of Visual Arts. I thrive on challenges and find inspiration in every project, always aiming to deliver exceptional work.

I love creating engaging and authentic narratives that celebrate the human spirit and elevate special moments. My goal is not only to protect and deliver the creative team’s vision, but to also offer a fresh perspective within the edit. Although I often work independently, I am a collaborative and resourceful team player able to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects with a positive attitude.

I spent the past decade running the post production suites at a full-service, in-house advertising agency for Prudential Financial, a Fortune 500 company. There, I served as the lead editor on concurrent projects with tight deadlines. I honed my skills as a visual storyteller working with writers and art directors to create accessible, engaging videos focused on a range of esoteric financial services topics: life insurance, annuities, retirement services, global investments, and more - often involved from ideation to execution and finishing.

In my role as a Managing Senior Video Editor I supervised and mentored junior colleagues and freelancers on project basis, designed and managed post production and project workflows, and implemented systems for organizing and archiving assets and final videos. As our video team grew, I managed the expansion and redesign of the edit suites, initiated a move from Avid DS to Avid Media Composer and most recently to Premiere Pro. I also introduced the use of EditShare, a Media Asset Management system and years later transitioned us to the all cloud based IPV Curator.

Before this I was a freelance video editor and filmmaker, editing both short and long form projects, including three feature documentaries. I also spent a couple of years as a resident filmmaker/video editor at The Ross School, an experimental private school in the Hamptons where I was part of a small team documenting the school and the institute led by Courtney Sale Ross who also served as our executive producer. I started my editing career in advertising, as an Avid assistant turned Avid editor working for Berwyn Productions which was the in-house post production company for Messner, Berger, McNamee and Schmetterer.

This short portrait of artist Richard Saja is an example
of work that I produced, directed, and edited.
